Ok, so I wanted to put my $.02 out there among the millions regarding this merger. First of all, does anyone know why Google is so popular? Think back when it first came about, what moved you over to Google? That's right, it was lightning fast! With fast comes simplicity, and simplicity combined with an extremely fast and accurate search engine made Google into the megasite it is today. In contrast, Yahoo continues to bloat their homepage with ads and junk right there in your face. Too much to look at. When I want to go out there and search for something, I don't want distractions. Google provides a clean, slick, fast interface with no distractions so I can get to the information I need without fluff.

Why is this concept so hard to grasp? Microsoft did actually grasp it with Live, but it was too little too late. Google already had established itself as 'THE' search engine out there. Now do I blame Microsoft and/or Yahoo for trying their best to compete with the giant? No, of course not, everyone has families to feed when you get down to it. I just don't think that people are going to move away from Google so long as Google stays to its roots. This is all of course my opinion and many will disagree, but clearly the majority will agree and that's not going to change soon.

So happy hunting Microhoo but I think you are spinning your wheels. Just continue doing what you do best, which is cranking out a new OS every 6 months or so. ;)
